The first Mass celebrated in the colony of New South Wales was by Fr Dixon on May 15th 1803. For Catholics the celebration of the Mass is the focal point of our faith. The Catholics of Australia need priests to continue to celebrate the Mass and enable them to engage their lives with Jesus Christ.

The Church needs priests! The Church needs young men of strong faith and love of God and of people to become priests, to be willing to give their lives in service to the Gospel.

May this website be a means of understanding about the call of God and the nature of the priesthood.

God has promised his people that he will never leave them without priests: "I will give you shepherds after my own heart" (Jer. 3,15).
